Expect a call back during working hours (Mon to Fri, 9am-4pm) within:

  • 4 hours for medical questions or concerns (for example, you are not feeling well)
  • 24 hours for administrative questions or concerns (for example, you want to rebook an appointment)

Can I use pmhelp.ca any time?

You can submit a request at any time. Requests are reviewed Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. If you submit a request after hours, on weekends, or holidays, you will get a call back the next working day (Monday to Friday) between 9am and 4pm.

How do I get help after hours?

Your questions and concerns are reviewed Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm. If you feel unwell after hours, on weekends, or holidays contact CAREpath at 1-877-681-3057 or CareChart online. An oncology nurse will help you.

What if I have a medical emergency?

In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not use pmhelp.ca for emergencies.

Who will respond to my request?

A member of your care team (for example, a nurse or a patient flow coordinator) will call you back.

How will my care team contact me?

Your care team will use the phone number you provide. If you did not provide a phone number, your care team will use the patient phone number on file.

When will I get a response?

After you submit a request, you will get a call back within:  

  • 4 hours for a medical request (for example, you do not feel well)
  • 24 hours for an administrative request (For example, you want to rebook an appointment.)

Who can use this pmhelp.ca?

All PM thoracic and sarcoma clinic patients can use pmhelp.ca. Family members and caregivers can also use pmhelp.ca on behalf of the patient.

Can I call the clinic?

Yes. You can call the clinic OR use pmhelp.ca. Please do not use both.
